Devutthana Ekadashi marks the auspicious awakening of Lord Vishnu from his four-month cosmic sleep.

Significance

• End of Chaturmas: Concludes the four-month holy period of Chaturmas when Lord Vishnu rests in Yoga Nidra.
• Resumption of Auspicious Events: Signals the start of the Hindu wedding season, housewarmings, and sacred ceremonies.

Tulsi Vivah: Often celebrated alongside or followed by the ceremonial marriage of the holy Tulsi plant to Lord Shaligram.

Ekadashi fasting days occur twice every lunar month on the 11th tithi (lunar day), amounting to 24 sacred days dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Ekadashi is an opportunity to nourish the soul by turning away from worldly distractions and turning closer to Lord Krishna. Let's immerse ourselves in Krishna consciousness through fasting, chanting, hearing and devotional service.
